Certificate in Urogynaecology of the College of Urologists of South Africa - R 23 300

Exit Examination: 1 written paper, OSCE and OSPE

Candidates who achieve the required marks in the written component of the Cert Urogynaecology(SA) examination but who fail the OSCE and OSPE examination will be exempt from the written component of the next examination session. Such exemption applies to one sitting only and must be excercised in the following semester.

The HPCSA has approved the change in name for all sub-specialty qualifications awarded by the CMSA from the current format of Certificates in the Subspecialty to the new format of a Fellowship in the Sub-Specialty in the relevant discipline.

We are currently in the process of updating all sub-specialty regulations to the new format but this will take some time to complete and your patience in this regard is appreciated. While this process is being completed both the old name and the new name regulations will be on our website.

Only once the change has been promulgated in the Government Gazette will you be able to have your qualification updated to the new format.

You will have to supply the CMSA with your original certificate. We will then issue you with the new format certificate and a new Form 19 for the HPCSA.

There is a R100 administrative fee for the issuing of the new format certificate.

Kindly note that the Portfolio of Learning (PoL) or Logbook is required to be submitted no later than six weeks prior to the commencement of the upcoming semester application period

All Portfolios / Logbooks be sent in 6 weeks prior to the application system opening for review and approval
- 15 August for First Semester applications (application system opens from 1 October – 15 November each year)
- 15 February for Second Semester applications (application system opens from 1 April – 15 May each year)

Approval of portfolio must be received before applications open or before a candidate can submit their application.

If a portfolio is approved, an approval letter will be sent to the candidate advising that portfolio has been approved and that they are required to complete and submit their application within the application window.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are not made available to candidates for review in accordance with the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy.
