Part I:
Candidates must be medically qualified, must have completed their internship and community service, and must be HPCSA registered as medical practitioners.

Part I: 2 digital written papers, no oral examination.

Part II:
- 42 months in a numbered registrar training post.
- Minimum of 3 months must be spent in a blood transfusion unit.
PORTFOLIO: From the second semester 2014 the submission of your Portfolio at the time of making your application is compulsory for all candidates who entered into their Registrar post from 1 January 2011.

The COULTER MEDAL was endowed in 1997 and is awarded to candidates who obtain excellent results in the Fellowship examination of the College of Pathologists of South Africa.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are not made available to candidates for review in accordance with the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy.Â
