Diploma in Child Health of the College of Paediatricians of South Africa: DCH(SA)

  • 6 months of full-time Paediatric training (which may include four months of internship training) at any South African hospital accredited for internship training by the HPCSA or CMSA-approved hospital.
  • Provide proof of successful completion of the Knowledge Hub’s online IMCI course through submission of a Certificate of Achievement

Exit Examination: A written examination comprising TWO papers each containing multiple choice questions (MCQs) and an objective structured clinical examination.

Since 2021, CMSA examinations have been conducted on an online platform. As a result, the questions remain within the secure question bank and can no longer be published on the website.

PLEASE NOTE that candidates that wish to lodge an appeal against the outcome of his/her written examination results must do so in accordance with the provisions of the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) are not made available to candidates for review in accordance with the CMSA’s Appeals Mechanism Policy.Â
